An added advantage of Funland is its prices: you can choose to pay for each ride (as little as $2.00) or buy an all-inclusive day pass for $12.

4. The Old Mill

Travel back in time at this beautiful site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Old Mill features a waterwheel and picnic areas for a relaxing and fun lunch. The structure is famous because it appears in the movie “Gone With The Wind.” Trees surround the park, and during springtime, you can enjoy plenty of colorful, blooming flowers. It’s located in North Little Rock, so it’s just a few minutes away from Sherwood by car.

5. Splash Zone Water Park

Just 8 miles away from Sherwood, you can find the Splash Zone Water Park at Jacksonville. It offers plenty of attractions, such as water slides and a water tunnel. At the park, you can buy snacks and lunch. The park is open from noon to six on weekdays and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Entrance fees are reasonable, and they also offer season passes.

6. Blanchard Springs Caverns

If you are ready to venture a little further, we recommend visiting Blanchard Springs Caverns. Nestled within the Ozark Mountains and just a 2-hour drive from Sherwood, this is a place you don’t want to miss. The site offers different tours and trails, and it’s perfect for visiting with children.
