The Seltos Sherwood drivers already know just got a serious upgrade. Kia rebuilt this small SUV from the ground up for 2027, giving it sharper styling, a roomier interior, and tech that finally catches up to the rest of the lineup, all while keeping the price point that made it popular in the first place.

What's New for 2027?

This redesign starts with an entirely new platform, and that change ripples through every part of the vehicle. The body stretches longer and wider, the wheelbase grows along with it, and rear-seat passengers are the ones who benefit most from all that added length.

Kia borrowed heavily from the Telluride for this redesign, trading the old Seltos's softer curves for squared-off lines and a bolder grille. Flush door handles now pop out automatically as you walk up, and an animated Star Map light sequence welcomes you before you even reach for the handle.

A hybrid version is also in the works for the first time, built on the same setup found in the Niro, though it hasn't reached showrooms yet. Everything covered here applies to the gas-powered lineup you can drive home today.

For a bolder stance, the X-Line S delivers exclusive styling, roof rails, smart cruise control with stop-and-go, and standard all-wheel drive on 18-inch black wheels, and it's this X-Line lineup that pairs the most tech with the most capability. 

At the top, the X-Line SX brings the turbocharged 190-horsepower engine together with a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and gloss black 19-inch wheels. 

Higher trims can also add the available Prestige Package, which includes the Blind-Spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor, ventilated front seats, and a multi-terrain mode selector with mud, snow, and sand settings.
