Redline Reviews
Sofyan Bey of the Redline Reviews YouTube channel was one of the lucky folks who got an early peek at the 2025 Kia K4. He was impressed by its stylish design, especially the eye-catching LED headlights that look a lot like the ones on the EV9, and its distinctive amber lights for daytime and turn signal.
“It has the latest interpretation of the Kia design language here with their tiger nose grille,” said Bey. “The front fascia just looks a lot more aggressive. I think that Kia has done a really good job.”
Bey discusses the available engine types for the car, highlighting the choice between a two-liter four-cylinder and a 1.6-liter turbo engine. He mentions that these options are quite similar to those offered in the current Kia Forte sedan. However, Bey thinks that this new model will probably be more fuel-efficient and emit less pollution. He also compliments the interior design and quality of the car’s cabin.
“When you step inside the interior, this is where again Kia is really pulling out all the stops to really deliver an interior that feels a lot more upscale and premium than typical vehicles in the class,” said Bey. “This feels like a huge step above the Forte.”
He emphasizes the smooth and modern design of the dashboard, ample space for passengers, and the high-tech features.
“If you guys are looking for something stylish, more premium with bigger backseat space and all the latest tech features, this model should be hitting your local Kia dealership sometime in the third quarter of 2024,” said Bey.

Raiti’s Rides
Joe Raiti from Raiti’s Rides on YouTube also got to see the Kia K4 at the auto show and shared his thoughts. He mentioned that this new version has updates in its dimensions, form, and design overall.
“Even though this is a compact sedan, it is getting a little bit wider a little bit longer, which is going to give you more interior space and also a better driving experience going down the road,” said Raiti.
He notes that the sedan’s updated LED headlights bear a resemblance to the latest K5 model’s design. Additionally, Raiti got a chance to check out the sedan’s interior, where he enjoyed its clean and simple layout.
“You’re going to have about 30 inches of screen, so you have your 12.3 for your infotainment system, and then the rest of the 30 inches is in the digital gauge cluster,” said Raiti.
He mentioned that there was plenty of room above his head and around his shoulders in the front seat, and he also noticed that the back seat was quite roomy.
“Even though this is a compact sedan, you gotta throw out the compact whole word. There’s nothing compact back here,” said Raiti.

The 2025 Kia Carnival, a versatile multipurpose vehicle, is expected to hit the market in the summer of 2024. Kia introduced this new model at the Chicago Auto Show alongside an updated version of the Kia K5 sedan, with presentations led by Russell Wager, the company’s Vice President of Marketing.

Car Confections
On their YouTube channel, Car Confections, Drew Hardesty and Mason Hardesty offered their sneak peek at the refreshed 2025 Carnival, showcasing its features and design.
“When it comes to automotive brands, Kia is perhaps one of the very best about making sure all their products stay fresh, up to date, and also have similar design elements that pass through them,” said Drew. “This has a pretty tough look for a minivan, and that’s deliberate because Kia wants this to look more SUV-like.”
They also highlight how this latest style recalls the appearance of the EV9, the updated Sorento, and the upcoming K5 refresh.
“It was already one of the best minivans when it comes to luxury,” said Mason.
Mason points out the various comfort features available for backseat passengers. He notes that while the overall space is the same as last year’s model, the SX Prestige trim now offers VIP lounge seats for ultimate comfort. These seats have a winged headrest and two armrests and can recline fully. They also include power adjustments, with easy access controls on the side of the seat. Mason also highlights the addition of two 14.6-inch screens for those sitting in the back to enjoy entertainment and a dedicated sunroof for the second-row passengers.
“The rear occupants really have a super luxurious experience with this new model, especially if you choose the VIP seating package,” said Mason.
Auto Buyers Guide
Travis from the Auto Buyers Guide staff also gave a first look that day.
“This is a fairly squared-out front grill. We do have some curves; we have some edges. But overall, this is a very different look than what you’d find across the Chrysler Pacifica or the Honda Odyssey, and even the Toyota Sienna,” said Travis. “This is part of what Kia is trying to do to distinguish this vehicle.”
He discusses the Carnival’s unique dark package, highlighting the darker appearance of the wheels, mirror caps, roof rails, and trim. He also points out the ample storage space in the back and speaks about the potential gas mileage.
“With the addition of the hybrid model, we’re not only going to get very similar power outputs but, ideally, significantly better fuel economy,” said Travis. “With the addition of the dark trim, we see a sportier way to present your Carnival.”

The car manufacturer recently introduced new models, such as the EV6, Niro EV, and EV9, showcasing the steps to achieve this goal. By 2026, Kia plans to have 11 electric cars available for purchase. They aim to make all their European vehicles electric by 2035 and gradually expand this initiative to other major markets by 2040. By 2045, Kia intends to have all their cars run on electricity worldwide.
RE: 100- All-Electric Future
Kia plans to use only renewable energy to power its factories. This project is named RE:100, and it aims to achieve this by 2030. The company also intends to make all the vehicles used at these factories electric. Kia will set up solar panels at some of its factories across the globe to generate power.
FCEVs
Kia is also planning to present hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by 2028! And that’s not all – they’ll also incorporate hydrogen technology into their production process.
