Doug DeMuro

Doug DeMuro had lots to say about the EV9 in his YouTube Review! He highlights its interior, emphasizing the two-toned leather seats having perforated centers with excellent stitching.

“It is an attractive place to be,” DeMuro says. “The materials are gorgeous; everything looks nice.” DeMuro goes on to spotlight the EV9’s second-row powered seating that can recline and even has a pop-out legrest.

“They have this leg rest, like a first-class airplane seat, so you can stretch out and almost lie down in the back of your family SUV,” DeMuro says. He also notes that with the pull of a strap, the third row can fold down, and the press of a button in the cargo area can make the second-row fold, making it easy to pack up. 

“The EV9 is great, with a roomy interior, muscular styling, nice materials, and impressive modern technology,” DeMuro says. “If you can fit the EV9 into your lifestyle, it’s a great buy and a very compelling choice over traditional SUVs.”

U.S. News & World Report

Zach Doell rated the EV9 8.6/10 in his review on U.S. News & World Report’s website, making it the top electric SUV on their list of 2023 and 2024 models and second in SUVs with three rows!

“…the all-new Kia EV9 is a great electric SUV,” says Doell. “This three-row SUV is comfortable to drive, its sleek interior is cavernous (both for passengers and cargo), and it comes packed with standard tech and safety features.” He goes on to praise its user-friendly infotainment technology and low starting price. 

“The EV9 deserves consideration if you’re shopping for a three-row electric SUV,” says Doell. “At the moment, the EV9 is the only nonluxury electric vehicle with three rows of seats, and it costs far less than alternatives like the Tesla Model X and Rivian R1S.” His conclusion summarizes his thoughts, noting its spacious, comfortable interior, generous features, and relaxing drive. 

“The 2024 Kia EV9 combines the best aspects of Kia’s greatest-hit SUVs: the electric EV6 and three-row Telluride,” says Doell.
